Access support to teach Media Literacy in your school

Did you know, young Australians read almost half of their news stories on websites and the other half on their social media feeds?

Without media literacy knowledge and skills, they can be more susceptible to online harms like disinformation and the many faces of hate speech.

Learn how you can support your students to navigate these challenges when you join our Media Literacy Lab Professional Development Workshop, a new one-hour, information-packed online workshop exploring everything you need to know to build Media Literacy in your students.

eSmart Program Delivery Advisor, Emily will take you on a live deep dive into the eSmart Media Literacy Lab, exploring the portal and providing a snapshot of the modules available in this free tool, available to you and your school right now.

Why join a workshop?

These workshops are completely free, and you can learn how to implement our free Media Literacy Lab tool in your school in a comprehensive hour-long session.

By attending, you’ll become the Media Literacy Lab champion in your school community. Teachers who attend this training session will be provided with resources to share their learnings with other teachers in their own school, supporting the school-wide implementation of this program.

You only need to attend one workshop; however, we have multiple dates to choose from to make it simple for you to develop the skills you need to support your students.
